Children, Schools, and the Pandemic

As children return to in-person schooling in many parts of the world, we wanted to host another conversation with education and health experts on ways to report on this important transition. Taking India as a case study, Internews Pandemic Media Mentor Dr. Jaya Shreedhar facilitated a conversation on September 23 with Dr. Prabhdeep Kaur, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Epidemiology in India and Dr. N.K. Arora, Chairman of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization and COVID-19 vaccination for children. Terry Durnnian, Chief of Education at UNICEF India, shared some reflections on how the situation in India fits the global context when it comes to children’s education. You can listen to the event’s recording below. This webinar was live-streamed on multiple social media platforms.
